Portland metalcore band Dying Wish recently released the new single “I Brought You My Soul (Your World Brought Me Despair),” which the band said was “the first step in the direction of our third LP,” and now that LP has been announced. Titled Flesh Stays Together, it was was produced by Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Every Time I Die) and it comes out on September 26 via SharpTone (pre-order). Vocalist Emma Boster calls the album “a discovery, a journey of grief and a statement. Together we face the most unacceptable conditions in our lifetimes. Every tragedy becomes our own yet we have never been more separated. Flesh is a vicious wake up call. Slowly and painfully we approach the end we deserve.”

“I Brought You My Soul” isn’t on the album, but the LP does include new single “I’ll Know You’re Not Around,” a song that’s equal parts heavy and melodic that Emma says “expresses weakness and deep regret when faced with the ongoing pain on the surface of our dependency with one another. The unavoidable conflict, betrayal and abandonment that lie within the cracks of our society. An acceptance of grief.”

Guitarist Pedro Carrillo adds, “It opens up where this band can go and how vulnerable things can be. Whether it is by our own accord or not, life is both vulnerable and artistic. Even in the most confusing of times.” Carrillo co-directed the song’s video with Eric Richter. Check it out below.

Dying Wish are set to support Poppy on a US tour this September/October alongside MSPAINT, and a press release says that headline tour dates will be announced “in the coming days.” Stay tuned, and check out the list of all currently announced tour dates below.
