GoTransit Media Group has strengthened its independent agency division with the appointment of Michael Desiere as group sales director of independent agencies.
Desiere brings more than two decades of experience across leading media organisations, including senior roles at News Corp Australia, Nine Entertainment Company, and most recently Mutinex. He is recognised for driving commercial growth, leading high-performing teams, and building strong, trusted agency partnerships.
Supporting this expanded structure is the addition of Callum McNab, who joins the indie team following roles at goa Billboards, where he supported major Queensland agencies and advertisers, and previous experience across sales and marketing roles in the FMCG and retail sectors. His background adds fresh capability and hands-on industry experience to GoTransit’s growing Indie portfolio.
“The independent agency sector has been a major strategic focus for us over the past two years, and strengthening our capability in this space remains a top priority. Michael’s leadership, backed by Callum’s fresh energy and the experience of Bernard Horan and Joel Anderson, positions us strongly for 2026 and beyond. Our recent IMAA recognition reflects the progress we’ve made, and these appointments signal our ambition for what comes next,” said Kirrily Hirst, director of sales at GoTransit Media Group.
With renewed leadership and ongoing investment across transit formats and insights-led solutions, GoTransit is entering 2026 with its strongest independent agency offering to date.
