Today, on December 8, the fifth day of the IBA 2025 Boxing World Championships will take place in Dubai, marking the start of the Round of 16 stage. On the fifth day of the tournament, Round of 16 bouts will be held across 7 weight categories.
Eight boxers will represent the Armenian national team. Davit Chaloyan (+92 kg) and Baregam Harutyunyan (48 kg) will have their first bouts of the tournament, while Artur Bazeyan (60 kg), Hovhannes Bachkov (67 kg), Armen Mashkaryan (67 kg), Vakhtang Harutyunyan (75 kg), Artush Hovhannisyan (80 kg), and Narek Manasyan (92 kg) will also compete.
The opponents of the Armenian boxers will be athletes from Australia, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Ghana, and Tajikistan.

75 kg: Vakhtang Harutyunyan (Armenia) vs Fazliddin Erkinboev (Uzbekistan)
Vakhtang Harutyunyan’s opponent, Fazliddin Erkinboev, has already become a world champion this year at a tournament held under the aegis of World Boxing.
