Are Chelsea settling for a draw? There hasn’t been much ambition from the visitors in the second half, and they’re currently focusing on keeping Atalanta at arm’s length.
Monaco miss a chance to double their lead, Lamine Camara firing over after a flowing team move. It’s still 1-0 to the hosts against Galatasaray.
ShareGOAL! Tottenham 3-0 Slavia Prague (Simons pen 79′)
Stanek gets a hand to Simons’ spot kick down to his left, but can’t stop the ball from sneaking into the corner. Game well and truly over!
SharePenalty to Spurs!
A second spot-kick for Tottenham as Xavi Simons is brought down by Igoh Ogbu in the area. Simons will take it himself …
Having come on at half-time, Wesley Fofana has to go off after getting an unintentional boot to the face from Scamacca. He’s replaced by Tosin Adarabioyo.
A let off for Marseille: Union Saint-Gilloise think they’re level, Kevin Mac Allister left home alone at the near post and squeezing the ball home – but VAR intervenes and rules the defender offside.
Changes for Chelsea: Malo Gusto and Alejandro Garnacho come on for Enzo and Pedro Neto, while goalscorer Scamacca is replaced by Nikola Kristovic for Atalanta.
Bad news for Ryan Mason’s in-laws: West Brom have pulled it back to 3-2 down at St Mary’s. Promotion-chasers Middlesbrough still lead at Charlton, but the hosts have a goal back; it’s 2-1 to Boro.
ShareGOAL! Union SG 2-3 Marseille (Khalaili 71′)
A second goal of the night for Anan Khalaili, who chests the ball down after Rulli flaps at it, then rifles his shot inside the far corner. Game on!

GOAL! Monaco 1-0 Galatasaray (Balogun 68′)
That’s a relief. The floodgates surely open in Monaco, with Folarin Balogun turning home after a goalmouth scramble. It came from a corner and new Galatasaray keeper Guvenc, on for the injured Cakir, did not look prepared.

Championship leaders Coventry went ahead at 10-man Preston, but Daniel Jebbison has just levelled for the hosts. Elsewhere it’s Blackburn 1-1 Oxford, Sheffield Utd 1-1 Norwich and Swansea 1-0 Portsmouth.
Atalanta 1-1 Chelsea: Sanchez shakily prods away a cross as Atalanta continue to apply pressure. Spurs, meanwhile, are comfortable and Kudus has been replaced by Tel. Can the hosts give the home fans a little more to shout about?
Eight goals across seven games in the first half; seven already in the second half. Inter v Liverpool is still goalless, as is Monaco v Galatasaray, of course.
ShareBarcelona 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt (Koundé 53′)
Jules Koundé in the Lilian Thuram role for Barça tonight; it’s another header, this time from Lamine Yamal’s swirling cross to the far post.
ShareGOAL! Atalanta 1-1 Chelsea (Scamacca 55′)
They’ve been pushing since the restart, and Atalanta have their reward! It’s forgotten West Ham man Gianluca Scamacca who heads home from De Ketelaere’s pinpoint cross.

GOALS! PSV 1-3 Atlético, Union SG 1-3 Marseille
Alexander Sorloth heads home to extend Atlético’s lead in Eindhoven, and Marseille also move 3-1 up as Greenwood finds the far corner for his second goal of the night.
ShareGOAL! Barcelona 1-1 Eintracht Frankfurt (Koundé 50)
Marcus Rashford came on for Fermin Lopez at half-time and he quickly makes an impact, crossing for Jules Koundé to thud a header home from close range, and level things up.

It’s livened up at Tottenham, where Stanek saves brilliantly from Odobert to deny the hosts a third – and then Slavia break, Doudera sending a half-volley whistling wide of the far post!
Atalanta have the ball in the net, Lookman sweeping home from close range – but he was a good yard offside.
ShareGOAL! PSV 1-2 Atlético (Hancko 54′)
Defensive shakiness costs PSV again, and this time centre-back David Hancko is the unlikely player on hand to turn the ball home after Molina’s shot is saved.

Missed Monaco penalty! In the game I predicted would be packed with goals, Monaco have a chance to open the scoring as Davinson Sanchez brings down Minamino. Denis Zakaria steps up – but Cakir saves a weak effort with his legs!
ShareGOAL! Tottenham 2-0 Slavia Prague (Kudus pen 49′)
Mohamed Kudus steps up and smacks the ball down the middle, before he and a few Spurs teammate grab some plastic stools and pose for a team picture at the corner flag. Lovely stuff.

Youssoupha Sanyang is penalised for a clumsy hack on Pedro Porro, and Tottenham have the ideal opportunity to extend their lead …
ShareSecond half
We’re back under way in London and Bergamo, where Wesley Fofana has replaced Trevoh Chalobah at half-time.
On Southampton v West Brom, Adam Timmins writes: “Ryan Mason went into this game looking to save his job. The good news is that first half performance from West Brom means he’ll at least get to spend some time with the family this Christmas.”

Ibrahima Konaté’s header was chalked off for handball in an otherwise uneventful first half.
Eintracht go close again! Another sweeping counter in behind Barça’s high line, and Ellyes Shkiri fires just over the bar from the edge of the area. It’s been a rough first half for Hansi Flick’s team.
ShareHalf time: Tottenham 1-0 Slavia Prague
Spurs also hold a narrow lead thanks to David Zima’s own goal, and look the more likely side to get the second.
ShareHalf time: Atalanta 0-1 Chelsea
So far, so good for Enzo Maresca’s side, with João Pedro’s goal the difference against a very passive Atalanta.
In League One, Stevenage and Cardiff are goalless in a top of the table clash, while promotion chasers Lincoln and Bolton both lead 1-0, against Barnsley and Mansfield respectively. Bradford’s trip to bottom club Port Vale was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

João Palhinha goes into the book for a hefty challenge, joining Micky van de Ven on the proverbial tightrope.
“It’s evident how PSV have scored 46 goals in 15 league matches this year,” writes Matt Burtz in a prescient email sent 15 minutes ago. “Their attack is unrelenting and the build up for the goal they scored earlier was a thing of beauty. Their shakiness in defense, though, makes this one very watchable even if Atlético haven’t offered much.”
ShareGOAL! PSV 1-1 Atlético Madrid (Alvarez 37′)
PSV have been dominant going forward but they’ve given Atlético a gift of an equaliser, possession lost as they try to play out from the back. Sorloth squares for Julian Alvarez to tap into an empty net.

No goal! After a long, long VAR check, Konaté’s goal is chalked off for an Ekitike handball. It remains Inter 0-0 Liverpool.
“How many Frankfurt fans are at the Camp Nou, considering what happened last time?” asks Tim Stappard.
Back in 2022, thousands of away fans took over the ground as Eintracht dumped Barça out of the Europa League. I think away tickets were limited to 2,000 for tonight’s game, but there’s a strangely quiet atmosphere.
Sweet relief for Arne Slot, as Ibrahima Konaté of all people has headed Liverpool in front against Inter – although there is a check for handball. Rob Smyth is all over that one.
More Championship goals: Middlesbrough lead at the Valley through Riley McGree, Southampton are 3-0 up at home to West Brom, and Oxford lead at fellow strugglers Blackburn.
ShareGOAL! Tottenham 1-0 Slavia Prague (Zima OG 27′)
London nights! Spurs follow Chelsea’s example as Cristian Romero’s flick is turned into his own net by the unfortunate David Zima. A deserved lead for the hosts.

Reece James crosses for João Pedro to poke the ball home, but the Brazilian is flagged offside. After a VAR review, it’s determined that Pedro wasn’t interfering with play – and James was onside. The goal stands!

GOAL! Barcelona 0-1 Eintracht Frankfurt (Knauff 20′)
Well, well. Barcelona’s Champions League troubles continue as Ansgar Knauff latches on to Nathaniel Brown’s pass and finishes clinically on the counter. The Camp Nou is not impressed.
