More than 38,000 Queensland public sector health workers have secured a certified agreement with the government.
A majority of staff at Queensland Health and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce accepted the government’s offer in a ballot for a wage increase of 8% over three years.
The terms of the agreement include the option of activating a CPI uplift adjustment and are in line with the state’s public sector wages policy (3%, 2.5%, 2.5%).
Additional incentives are included in the agreement for administrative, operational, professional and technical employees, with night shift allowance increases, leave loading improvements and enhanced part-time working arrangements.
