Ferencvaros Head Coach Robbie Keane celebrates

Robbie Keane says beating Rangers was EASY – and the angry Ferencvaros boss claims VAR were wrong to allow Bojan Miovski’s goal.

The Ibrox side fell to a damaging 2-1 Europa League defeat in Budapest that leaves them all-but out of the running to reach the knockout stages. They led through Bojan Miovski, whose acrobatic finish was initially deemed offside before VAR overturned it, but Keane’s team came from behind to seal the win.

The former Celtic striker celebrated wildly with his team now in with a serious chance of finishing in the top eight and skipping the playoff round.

But according to the Hungarian press, it was a spiky appearance on broadcaster M4.

News outlet Magyarnemzet say he reacted ‘angrily’ when a reporter suggested the game was tough, saying: “What do you mean it wasn’t an easy game?! We dominated the game from start to finish, we were a much better team!”

And he went even further – claiming Miovski’s goal, which TV cameras did appear to show was onside, should not have stood.

Keane raged: “They scored, but I think the VAR made a mistake, they drew the line wrong, it was offside, we looked at it too. They didn’t deserve that goal. But we dominated the game after that.

“Our first goal was amazing, in the second half our opponent pulled back and we were still in the lead. We put in a fantastic performance, I’m proud of all my players.”
