Joe Hendry surprisingly formed a partnership with a popular WWE star to attack a former world champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

As Stephanie McMahon and Joe Tessitore were giving final thoughts before John Cena’s last match, The Miz interrupted the proceedings with another crashout, this time in the middle of the ring. The A-Lister felt he was being disrespected and that he should’ve been Cena’s final opponent given their long history together.

R-Truth intervened in The Miz’s temper tantrum to inform him about the supposed actual opponent of LA Knight from The Last Time Is Now Tournament, which was drawn from a lottery ball. The crowd at the Capital One in Washington, D.C, erupted after finding out who it really was.

After seeing Joe Hendry’s name in the lottery ball, the newly-signed WWE superstar appeared, as he usually does after someone says his name. However, The Miz didn’t want any of it and expressed his disgust.

The A-Lister then attacked the Prestigious One, who retaliated with a fall-away slam. Following a turn to the camera with R-Truth, they executed a Ten Knuckle Shuffle, paying homage to the retiring John Cena.

Then, Hendry topped it off with his finishing maneuver, the Standing Ovation.

Truth served as an impromptu “referee” and made the three-count, giving the newly-signed WWE Superstar the “win.” The TNA icons ended the segment by waving their hands along with the Washington, D.C crowd.
