In case you missed it, Milan also dropped points earlier today. Up next, Inter take on Genoa, and now they have the chance to go top, but does anyone want it!?

15:50 CET – It is half-time in four Premier League games and the only disappointment so far has come from the headline act as Sunderland and Newcastle United remain goalless in the Tyne-Wear derby.

Over to Selhurst Park and despite Crystal Palace dominating large parts of the first half, an Erling Haaland goal on the stroke of half-time has given Manchester City a 1-0 lead at the break.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, some weak Tottenham defending helped Callum Hudson-Odoi give Forest a shock lead in front of their home crowd.

Finally, relegation-battling West Ham lead high-flying Aston Villa 2-1 at the break, setting up a potential upset at the London Stadium.

15:35 CET – Next up in LaLiga Celta Vigo host Athletic Club as they look to back up their shock win against Real Madrid last weekend with another upset.

09:50 CET – After a dramatic Saturday evening of action, a blockbuster Sunday is on the cards in the football world, with so much to look forward to!

In the Premier League today, the Tyne-Wear derby is back for the first time since 2016, as arch-rivals Sunderland and Newcastle go head to head at 15:00 CET.

At the same time, title chasers Manchester City and Aston Villa are in action, while Nottingham Forest host Spurs.

In Ligue 1 at 20:45, Marseille take on Monaco, while Lens are looking to continue their superb season so far against Nice at 17:15 CET.

Throughout the day, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Napoli, Inter Milan and Juventus are some of the big teams looking to pick up three points, while at 21:00 CET, an under-pressure Xabi Alonso will be hoping his Real Madrid team don’t stumble against Alaves.

Saturday, December 13th

23:15 CET – Finally this evening, over in LaLiga, Espanyol have continued their remarkable start to the season with a 1-0 victory at Getafe.

That’s all from us here today, but be sure to tune in again tomorrow as we have a real blockbuster day in store!

23:13 CET – Over in Ligue 1, Toulouse are into the top seven after a dominant 3-0 win at Paris FC.

22:57 CET – Incredible late drama at the Emirates as Arsenal somehow defeat Wolves 2-1! Wolves thought they had snatched a dramatic equaliser in the 90th minute, but Arsenal would have the last laugh as an inviting Bukayo Saka cross was flicked into his own net off the head of Yerson Mosquera.

It was far from vintage Arsenal, and they were lucky to come away with three points after relying on two unfortunate Wolves own goals, but those are the kind of games you have to find a way to win a title race, and the Gunners have done just that.

A priceless three points.

21:40 CET – Atalanta have held off a Cagliari revival to win 2-1 after Gianluca Scamacca completed a brace in the 81st minute to win the game. That is three games in a row that Scamacca has found the next as he continues his comeback.

21:50 CET – Well, this wasn’t in the pre-match script… League leaders Arsenal have looked lethargic and sloppy in the first 45 minutes as Mikel Arteta’s side fail to break down a Wolves team very much there for the taking. It remains 0-0 at the Emirates.

An unhappy-looking Arteta has a big team talk now to inspire a response from his side.

21:35 CET – In the final game of the night in Serie A, Atalanta lead 1-0 at home to Cagliari thanks to a goal in the 11th minute by Gianluca Scamacca.

21:00 CET – The excitement never stopped in Ligue 1 this evening. Two more goals in the second half saw PSG edge to a vital 3-2 win in Metz to move top of the league (having played a game more than Marseille).

PSG will now head to Doha to face Flamengo in the final of the Intercontinental Cup after the Brazilian giants defeated Egyptian side Pyramids this evening in the semi-final.

20:40 CET – There is a rare late game in the Premier League tonight as league leaders Arsenal take on rock-bottom Wolves from 21:00 CET.

After their shock defeat against Aston Villa last weekend, Mikel Arteta has gone strong against the weakest team in the league. There is also a return to the starting lineup for summer signing Viktor Gyokeres, who returns from injury.

20:30 CET – How Barcelona have missed Raphinha… The Brazilian scored a brilliant brace in the final 20 minutes to secure a vital win for Barcelona, who move seven points clear at the top of LaLiga.

The pressure is seriously on Xabi Alonso and Real Madrid tomorrow now.

20:25 CET – Over in the Premier League, and Harry Wilson-inspired Fulham have won 3-2 away at a Burnley side who fall to their seventh consecutive defeat. It is hard to see this Burnley side staying up this season; they lack quality, and Scott Parker fails to inspire.

20:22 CET – Bayer Leverkusen got the job done in the second half to win 2-0 and get their campaign back on track after two consecutive Bundesliga defeats before today.

FC Koln looked to be frustrating the hosts, but couldn’t hold them out as the match reached the final half an hour, and thus remain in 9th.

19:50 CET – The half-time whistle has blown in Metz and it has been an entertaining opening 45 minutes that has seen three goals.

PSG haven’t had it all their own way, but they do lead 2-1 in a game where they are so heavily rotated and will hope to just find a way to win.

19:25 CET – It also remains goalless in the Bundesliga as Bayer Leverkusen take on FC Koln, as they hope to return to fourth in the Bundesliga after Hoffenheim’s win earlier.
