Last week, the story that got the most eyeballs was Jamahal Hill reacting to his totally random altercation with Joanna Jedrzejczyk … and revealing he tried to spit game a few years ago.

Fighter ‘Comment of the Week’ — He said what?!?!?!

Merab Dvalishvili’s coach, John Wood, believed the former champion was up three rounds on Petr Yan during their UFC 323 title fight — “I thought we were winning and controlling, and I thought we were pressing and doing what we needed to do.”

Brandon Royval has had 12 fights in the UFC, and all 12 fights have been against ranked fighters.

Fight Announcement of the Week:

Brandon Moreno may have just been stopped against Tatsuro Taira at UFC 323, but he’s already back and will headline UFC Mexico in February.

This Past Week in MMA History:

In the main event of UFC 231, Max Holloway beat the life out of Brian Ortega to defend his Featherweight title. Holloway was also teaching Ortega to block punches mid-fight.

UFC on Fox: Henderson vs. Diaz – Dec. 8, 2012

Nate Diaz has only fought once for the UFC Lightweight title, but it went horribly wrong as Benson Henderson completely and utterly dominated him from bell to bell.

UFC Albany – Dec. 9, 2016

UFC fan favorite Derrick Lewis headlined his first UFC card in 2016 against Shamil Abdurakhimov and came out victorious by stopping the Russian in the fourth round.

UFC Fresno – Dec. 9, 2017

UFC Fresno in 2017 was headlined by Cub Swanson vs. Brian Ortega, but the most notable moment on the card came from the featured fight as Marlon Moraes slumped Aljamain Sterling with a brutal knee.

Jon Jones defended his title for the second time against Lyoto Machida and delivered one of the coldest submissions in UFC history.

On the same card, Frank Mir snapped Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira’s arm.

Charles Oliveira racked up his first Lightweight title defense against Dustin Poirier at UFC 269, submitting him in the third round.

In the co-main event, Julianna Pena scored one of the biggest upsets in UFC history by defeating Amanda Nunes to become the Bantamweight champion.

Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo put on the fight of the year at UFC 256, and it was awesome.

It took Conor McGregor just 13 seconds to dispatch Jose Aldo and win the Featherweight title.

B.J. Penn defended his title for the third and final time at UFC 107 when he demolished Diego Sanchez.

Finally, at UFC 245, Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington went to war for five rounds, but it was Usman who came out victorious via TKO.
