Who is in and out of the England and Australia Test teams?
Mystery surrounds the Australian team less than 24 hours out from the start of play.
Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon are both expected to play, with Brendan Doggett, Michael Neser and Scott Boland all in the gun to miss as a result.Â
Doggett is almost certain to be the first out of the XI, with Neser and Boland both putting forward strong arguments to keep their places in the team across the start to the series.
Neser’s five-wicket haul at the Gabba was a game changer, but there is a thought that he is a Gabba specialist who can make the pink ball talk. Boland has shown moments of brilliance, but hasn’t been as efficient as he has been in past Test matches.
Usman Khawaja says he is fit to go after missing the Gabba Test, but the question remains around whether he will remain out, be moved into the middle order for Josh Inglis, or open the batting, with Travis Head moving back to the middle.
There is some doubt over Steve Smith, who has been unwell, but he is likely to play.
England, meanwhile, is likely to make just one change, with fast bowler Josh Tongue coming in for Gus Atkinson.
