Police have again been called to the Melbourne bayside suburb of Mordialloc, a day after reports of a brawl involving more than 100 teenagers.

On Thursday, police were called to Main Street about 5pm, following reports of a large group of young people in the area.

“A number of units attended and most of the crowd moved on,” police said in a statement.

Half an hour later, they received reports of two people being assaulted near Mordialloc Pier.

“Police were quickly on scene and again dispersed the crowd. Officers spoke to two people who did not wish police involvement,” police said.

It follows a much larger brawl at the same pier on Wednesday afternoon, after a group of teenagers entered a supermarket and caused damage.

Police used OC spray, known as pepper spray, to disperse the crowd, which threw bottles and attempted to assault officers.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested and released pending further enquiries.

Late on Thursday evening, officers continued to patrol Mordialloc and surrounding areas.
