Michael Maguire will help Broc Feeney exact revenge on rival Chaz Mostert with the two-time premiership winner to lend his coaching expertise to the Supercars young gun who had his championship crushed in controversy.

In an unprecedented cross-code knowledge-sharing alliance between Maguire and Triple Eight Race Engineering, Feeney and his team will be guided by the man who delivered the Broncos a fairytale premiership.

News.com.au Australia can reveal the dual premiership-winning coach offered to mentor both Feeney and teammate Will Brown after forming an unofficial alliance that will also see Maguire study the winning culture of Jamie Whincup’s all-conquering Supercars squad.

“I have always loved the V8 Supercars and I was very fortunate to spend time with many of the drivers at the Gold Coast 500,” Maguire said.

“I’m a big fan of how each of the teams go about their race day. The different strategies are really interesting to watch.

“I’ve definitely bonded with Broc in particular as he’s a huge Broncos fan and I’m really looking forward to exchanging ideas on high performance and helping him where I can into 2026.”

Adding serious volume to Feeney’s championship bid, heavy metal icons Parkway Drive have thrown their support behind his quest to erase the heartbreak of last season’s controversial finale.

Mostert snatched the championship after his Walkinshaw Racing teammate took out the Triple Eight star, denying Feeney his first title win.

The collaboration kicked off yesterday at Norwell Motorplex with a star-studded drive day.

All five Parkway Drive members joined Maguire and the Broncos leadership group for a racing masterclass led by Feeney, Bathurst legend Paul Morris, and rising star Nash Morris.

Lead singer Winston McCall upstaged a Broncos contingent — including Ben Hunt, Patrick Carrigan, Jesse Arthars, and Corey Jensen — by clocking the fastest time on the water-soaked skid pan behind the wheel of a V8.

However, the competition heated up on the racetrack, with Maguire, Arthars, and Parkway Drive rhythm guitarist Luke Kilpatrick all impressing Feeney with their wheel work.

“Yeah the Broncos boys were pretty good as expected,” Parkway Drive guitar player Kilpatrick said.

“But I reckon we held our own. I don’t think they were expecting a heavy metal band to issue much of a challenge but we gave as good as we got.

“But we were all humbled when Broc got behind the wheel. I decided I would stick to guitar after watching him drive. All the Parkway boys will be cheering him on next year as he goes after the title.”

While he might have left the man he can now draw on for advice, Feeney said he was thrilled to be associated with Maguire.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have someone like Michael Maguire not only take an interest in what I do but also offer advice and support,” Feeney said.

“He is one of the best minds in Australian sport and has done it all in rugby league so to have him involved with the team is awesome.

“I am sure I will be able to learn a lot from both him and the players as they all know what it takes to be champions. I am also a big Broncos fan, so it is very cool.”
