Run by coach Lesley Whitehead at the courts at Inverclyde Sports Centre, Burnside Road, the programme caters to various age groups and skill levels including children as young as four and adults up to and beyond 19-years-old.

The programme has sessions scheduled across different days of the week.

Mini Tennis Red, specifically designed for children aged four to eight, will commence on January 13 and run for eight weeks on Tuesdays from 3.45pm to 4.45pm at Largs Academy’s indoor courts.

Mini Tennis Orange and Green for nine to 11-year-olds will also start on the same date, running for seven weeks on Tuesdays from 5pm to 6pm at the Inverclyde Tennis courts.

There are sessions for children between 12 and 18-years-old under the title of Junior Tennis, which will take place once a week on Wednesdays from 5pm to 6pm, starting from January 14, for a period of seven weeks.

Likewise, adult beginners aged 19 and above have been provided a slot on Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm, starting from January 14 at the Inverclyde Tennis courts.

Adult Improvers and Adult Intermediates aged 19 and above will have their sessions on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm and 7pm to 8pm, respectively.

Both groups will follow the seven-week class schedule beginning on January 13.

All sessions in the programme will see participants under the guidance of LTA Senior level four accredited coach Lesley.

Rackets will be provided by the organisers.

Participants are advised to book early to guarantee a place.
