Four Swiss players are in action in the NHL on Sunday night, three of them come away with valuable victories. Only goalie Akira Schmid loses with the Vegas Golden Knights.
The two teams from Florida caused a stir. The Tampa Bay Lightning win at home against the Carolina Hurricanes after trailing 0:3 and 3:4. In the last seven minutes, however, they score three goals to win 6-4, with Bernese defenseman Janis Moser setting up Jake Guentzel’s winning goal.
The Florida Panthers, the Stanley Cup champions of the last two years, lost for the first time after four victories. They lost 6-2 to the St. Louis Blues with Pius Suter, who remained without a goal.
Roman Josi and the Nashville Predators beat Toronto 5:3, with the captain notching another assist.
The previously convincing Akira Schmid had a less enjoyable evening in goal for the Vegas Golden Knights. The team from the city of players in Nevada lost 3:6 in Calgary – and Schmid only saved 20 of 25 shots (80 percent).
