Mr Kelly said: “The event reflects Jersey FA’s ongoing commitment to using football as a force for good.

“We know Christmas is a difficult period for some, and this relaxed gathering on Monday marks the next part of our work supporting wellbeing, inclusion, and community connection across the island.”

The games are for those aged 16 and over and all abilities and ages are welcome.

“Attendees are welcome to take part in the small-sided football games, but those who prefer can simply come along for a chat, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and grab a mince pie,” Jersey FA said.

The event will take place between 13:30 and 15:30 GMT and people do not need to register in advance.
