BACHELORETTE’s Taylor Frankie Paul’s suitor and frontrunner, Shane Parton, is a hunky lawyer and a star athlete who came from humble beginnings.

Shane appears to be one of Taylor’s top picks, as the pair was seen filming together in New York, likely for Shane’s hometown date.

The attractive attorney was born in New York but raised in Georgia.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star’s love interest appeared to have been raised mainly by his mother, Sara.

The legal eagle and D1 athlete during his time in college at Stetson University wasn’t born with the name he now has.

The U.S. Sun has exclusively obtained documents about the Bachelorette star’s 28-year-old love interest’s beginnings.

According to a filing, Shane was actually born Shayne Palacios, after his father, Michael.

However, in 2006, his mother filed a petition to change his name.

In her filing, Shane’s mom said “I was recently widowed and now have remarried. My desire is to have my entire family with the same name.”

Shane would have been about 4 when his father died and about 9 years old when the name change took place.

It appears that Shane’s father died when he was just 30-years-old.

Despite what must have been a difficult time for the Bachelorette contestant, he certainly persevered.

Shane was captain of the football team at Stetson University, and went on to do great things after college.

Taylor’s suitor has made his way as a successful lawyer, working in “complex estate, trust and tax planning, estate and trust administration, and business succession planning,” according to his bio on his law firm’s website.

“In his free time, you can find Shane working out with his brothers, playing less than average golf, and keeping up with college and NFL football,” the firm’s bio of Shane cheekily added on his subpar golfing abilities.

Taylor is quite the lucky lady when it comes to her top picks for love.

TAYLOR’S TOP PICKS

As The U.S. Sun previously exclusively reported, another of the suitors who has gained Taylor’s interest has an impressive professional history involving extensive experience in front of the camera.

Doug Mason, an athletic 29-year-old from Idaho, has dedicated his adult life to various on-camera pursuits.

Meanwhile, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives personality and current lead of ABC’s The Bachelorette first achieved prominence as a TikTok influencer and the creator of the MomTok group.

During his college years, Doug was heavily involved in Boise State University’s television department, where he hosted his own program titled Presents with Douglas Mason.

He earned a degree in communications with an emphasis on broadcast journalism.

Following graduation, he shifted away from journalism after moving to San Diego, where he studied commercial acting while employed as an EMT lifeguard.

From there, Taylor’s potential match secured his first acting role on Season 5 of NBC’s Magnum P.I., portraying the character Adam Webber, who passed away in a vehicle accident in the show.

Currently, Doug appears to be an active model and actor; his private Instagram profile lists five different management firms spanning both modeling and acting.

According to his IMDB biography, his mother served in the Navy, and his family—including his father and younger sister—relocated frequently throughout his childhood.

Fans have noted that Doug looks similar to Taylor’s ex, Dakota Mortensen, and the men are even both from the great state of Idaho.

Taylor has been seen filming in Los Angeles and Las Vegas since October and has posted several behind-the-scenes moments on her social media.

Season 22 of The Bachelorette is scheduled to premiere on ABC in March, marking the first time the show has selected a lead who was not a previous participant in the franchise.

Supporters have been cheering for Taylor following her very public separation from her former partner, Dakota, during the second season of Mormon Wives.

The former pair has a son, Ever, born in March 2024.

Taylor is also a mother to a daughter, Indy, born in 2017, and a son, Ocean, born in 2020, from her initial marriage to Tate Paul.

Taylor and Tate ended their marriage in 2022 after their involvement in a swinging scandal was revealed.
