The new year is approaching quickly, which usually means that the launch of the next Samsung flagships is just around the corner. However, an increasing number of reports now point to significant delays regarding the launch and availability of the Galaxy S26 series, which might not become widely available until after the Mobile World Congress.

We already had a fixed date for the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. Back in November, industry insiders claimed that the Galaxy S26 will launch on February 25 in San Francisco. However, another report from South Korea later suggested that a launch in January 2026 might still be possible after all, thanks to significant efforts from the entire Samsung team.

Shortly before the end of the year, new clues regarding the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event have now surfaced. Unfortunately, these are less encouraging for Samsung fans, who will likely have to wait quite a bit longer for the successors to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra (from $1,099 on Amazon). At the end of last week, the Korean publication YNA commented on a Galaxy Unpacked event in February in the US as part of a report on Samsung’s new Exynos 2600 chipset.

No specific date was mentioned, but if February 25 is the actual launch date, the new Galaxy S26 lineup might not become available in stores until March. Considering the usual pre-order periods, the new Samsung phones might launch after the Mobile World Congress, which takes place from March 2 to 5, 2026.  This was also confirmed today by the well-known leaker Ice Universe, who predicts a February reveal and March availability, which is hopefully accurate despite the grammar error in his post.
