It is already known that Indian women’s team cricketer, Smriti Mandhana underwent a significant personal turmoil in the form of the cancellation of her marriage days before the ceremony.

Incidentally, Smriti Mandhana took to the field last night, which happens to her first match after the cancellation of the marriage, and she was reasonably good on the field.

India was chasing a modest target of 121 runs, and this gave the players enough time in the second innings to settle and complete the chase. In particular, Smriti was very considerate with the bat as she maintained her composure from starting to end.

In the end, the talented female cricketer scored 25 runs from 25 balls which might sound slow on paper, but that was what was needed for the team. She could not complete the chase for India as she got out in the 8th over, but played a significant role in cementing the position.

It is good to see the talented cricketer recover quickly from the personal situation and uphold her duties for the Indian cricket team, which is the most important thing.

Adding to the positives, Smriti Mandhana also created history with this match. She became the first Asian batter to complete 4,000 runs in Women’s T20I cricket, a remarkable milestone that underlines her consistency and class at the highest level.

Achieving such a feat amid personal challenges speaks volumes about her mental strength and commitment. Once again, Smriti proved why she remains one of India’s most reliable and respected cricketers.
