A rogue firework blasted onto the field at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore ahead of the Ravens taking on the New England Patriots on Sunday, December 21.

Trent Maurer told Storyful he was recording the fireworks when the mishap occurred. The projectile is seen flying over the crowd and into the grass, narrowly missing a person on the field.

According to the Daily Mail, a spokesperson said no one was injured and an investigation had been launched into the incident.

“There was one misfire during our pregame pyrotechnic show that landed on the field. The safety of everyone at our stadium on game day is our top priority,” the source said.

“We are coordinating with our pyrotechnic vendor to fully understand what occurred and to ensure it does not happen again.”
