The name Elijah Grigg will be one to remember in Christian Fellowship basketball as he broke the boys basketball scoring record at the school on Monday night after a 24-point performance. With 2,630 points and counting, Grigg has outscored Chris Johnson, who set the school record at 2,621 points back in 1996.

Elijah Grigg made Christian Fellowship basketball history Monday night as the new all-time leading scorer in boys basketball history. Grigg, a senior on the Eagles squad hit the 2,630 mark to claim the schools scoring title in the Eagles 79-41 win over Heritage High School after dropping 24 points on the night. The previous record was held by Chris Johnson back in 1996 with 2,621 points.

Grigg is averaging 24.1ppg so far this season through 11 games played. He’s leading the team with 265 points and counting.

Along with the school record, Grigg is also on track to break the First Region boys all-time scoring record set by Ballard Memorial’s Jace Birney last season. He’s just 93 points shy of that title.

Elijah has been a major contributor to the Eagles current 9-2 record. Along with his scoring leadership, he is also leading in three point shooting percentage at 38.6 percent for 27 made 3-pointers and also leads the rebounding effort with 101 rebounds and broke the 1,000 career rebound mark last week.
