Simone Biles has taken on a new “side gig.”
On Dec. 28, the Olympic gymnast supported her husband, Jonathan Owens, as the Chicago Bears faced off against the San Francisco 49ers. And while Biles, 28, often travels to cheer on the Bears safety from the sidelines, this time she was also fulfilling her duties as a credentialed NFL photographer.
“We are here at Sunday Night Football when the Bears take on the 49ers, and I’m gonna be taking some photographs,” Biles said while holding up her Sony camera and wearing an official media vest in a video shared by the NFL.
They added in the caption, “NFL photographer @Simone_Biles in the house for Bears-49ers!”
While giving 49ers star Christian McCaffrey’s wife, Olivia Culpo, a hug on the sidelines before the game, as seen in a clip shared by the NFL, the 11-time Olympic medalist described her new role as “just a little side gig.”
In another photo shared by the Chicago Bears on X, Biles could be seen smiling with her camera on the sidelines while Owens, 30, walked toward her from the field with a giant smile on his face.
Just days before the game, the couple, who wed in April 2023, shared a glimpse into their sweet holiday celebrations on social media. In a series of snaps shared to her Instagram Stories, Biles showed off her and Owens’ matching navy silk pajamas while they sat on the floor and opened gifts with Elf playing in the background.
“merry christmas everyone🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍,” she wrote alongside another video of her fireplace burning bright.
The gymnast also shared photos of the pair’s Christmas celebrations on her profile, including a photo of them embracing on the couch and another blurry pic of them sharing a kiss.

“happy holidays from me & mine to you & yours 🤍,” she captioned the post, after which Owens commented, “So thankful for you 🤎.”
On Dec. 17, Biles showed her love for her husband by wearing a sweet nod to him while they enjoyed a concert together in Chicago. In a photo shared to her Instagram Stories, she wore a ring with Owens’ initials encrusted in crystals atop a silver band.
She also shared a video of her and Owens dancing together as they sang along to rapper Rod Wave at the United Center in Chicago, just two days after the Bears won 31-3 against the Cleveland Browns.
