Here are the Los Angeles Rams’ inactive players against the Atlanta Falcons: WR Davante Adams, OT Alaric Jackson, OG Kevin Dotson, CB Josh Wallace, CB Darious Williams and RB Jarquez Hunter with Stetson Bennett as the emergency quarterback.
Adams was listed as doubtful for a second straight week with a hamstring injury, so it’s no surprise the NFL’s leader in touchdown receptions is out with the Rams out of contention for the NFC West and No. 1 seed.
But Jackson’s absence will be his first of the season. He is dealing with a knee injury. It’s a significant loss against a Falcons team that ranks third in the league with 50 sacks. Falcons defensive end James Pearce, whom Atlanta selected in the first round this spring through a trade with the Rams, will be a difficult matchup.
Los Angeles also made Williams a healthy scratch, pulling the veteran cornerback out of the rotation he’d been playing in on the outside with Cobie Durant and Emmanuel Forbes Jr.
This game will mark the return of Roger McCreary from injured reserve. With Wallace out, McCreary figures to get his first real action in the slot for the Rams since their midseason trade to get him from the Tennessee Titans.
