The Brisbane Bullets have secured another impressive addition ahead of the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Season, locking in the signature of import Javon Freeman-Liberty.

Freeman-Liberty, 25, holds an impressive basketball resume, boasting experience in the NBA and affiliate G League.

He averaged 20.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists in his most recent season with the Windy City Bulls.

“To add a talent of Javon’s calibre to our roster at this stage is really exciting. He’s a hungry player who’s ready to take the next step in his development as a professional,” Brisbane Bullets head coach Stu Lash said.

“His toughness, ferocity, and willingness to compete make him a natural fit for what we value at the Brisbane Bullets.

“Javon will fit seamlessly into our playing group, and I have no doubt he’ll make an immediate impact in the NBL.”

Freeman-Liberty grew a reputation as one of college basketball’s best two-way guards. In his senior year with DePaul (2021-22), he averaged 21.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.

“I’m excited to come to Brisbane and join a team that’s hungry for success,” Freeman-Liberty said.

“The NBL has a reputation as one of the toughest leagues in the world, and I’m ready to bring my grit, energy, and all-out eaort to the Bullets. I can’t wait to meet the fans, get on the court with my teammates, and chase something special this season.”

Freeman-Liberty’s signing follows those of Jaylen Adams and Alex Ducas over the past fortnight.
