A guest has been rushed from a Gold Coast theme park to hospital in a life-threatening condition after almost drowning at an attraction.
Emergency services were called to WhiteWater World, Dreamworld’s sister park also at Coomera, shortly after 2pm on Friday.
Paramedics treated one patient for injuries related to water inhalation before transporting them to Gold Coast University Hospital.

The guest had been pulled from the water at the Cave of Waves attraction, a 50-metre-long wave pool along the south-west edge of the park.
A statement from the theme park said it was continuing to work with emergency services as needed.
“Our highly trained lifeguards responded immediately, and Queensland Ambulance Service attended the scene promptly,” the statement read.
“The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members is our highest priority.”
A WhiteWater World spokesperson confirmed the park returned to normal operations after emergency services left.
