Max Verstappen and Lando Norris will have to pay well over a million euros for their FIA super licences for the upcoming Formula 1 season.
As usual, every F1 driver pays a fee for their super licence based on the number of World Championship points they scored in the previous season. For 2026, the base price of a super license is €11,842, plus €2,392 per point scored in 2025.
The highest bill this year belongs to Norris. The McLaren driver claimed his first world title with 423 points, which means his super license costs $1,023,658—about €5,000 more than Verstappen.
The small difference is because only two points separated the two drivers in the standings. Verstappen’s total bill is €1,018,874.

Behind Verstappen and Norris, Oscar Piastri also comes close to the million mark. The Australian scored 410 points, resulting in €992,562 in licence fees.
Behind him are George Russell with €774,890, Charles Leclerc with €590,706, and Lewis Hamilton with €384,994. Kimi Antonelli also has to pay a substantial amount after his rookie season, €370,642 euros.
