DETROIT — Right-hander Woo-Suk Go, who joined the Detroit Tigers organization last summer and finished the season with Triple-A Toledo, has re-signed on a minor-league deal for 2026.
Go, 27, was a dominant closer in the Korea Baseball Organization and received permission to negotiate with MLB teams following the 2023 season. He signed a two-year, $4.5 million deal with the San Diego Padres but was traded four months later to the Marlins in the Luis Arraez deal.
Miami removed Go from the 40-man roster in 2024 and then released him last June. He quickly signed a minor-league deal with the Tigers and pitched in 14 games for the Mud Hens, striking out 22 and walking 11 in 21 innings.
Although he has struggled across several stops since coming to the U.S., Go’s original scouting report highlighted a strong reliever profile, with a mid-90s fastball and a plus slider.
