THE Princess of Wales has long been considered as one of the Royal Family’s most liked members – and it seems these traits were evident from a very early age.

A charming video of nine-year-old Kate, smiling brightly as a bridesmaid at her uncle Gary Goldsmith’s 1991 wedding, has thrilled royal enthusiasts after being shared on X in the lead-up to her 44th birthday.

The almost eight-minute recording from Gary Goldsmith’s marriage to Miranda Foote originally surfaced in 2017 – six years after Kate’s wedding to Prince William.

Originally acquired by SWNS, the footage captures Kate alongside her sister Pippa in identical pink bridesmaid gowns and flower crowns, participating in the celebrations outside St Peter’s Church in Burnham, Buckinghamshire.

Their brother James, then three, joined in as a page boy, with the siblings supporting Gary and Miranda – who later divorced – during the ceremony.

One moment in the video captures Kate accepting a gift from the groom in thanks, prompting X users to remark that her “beautiful smile, natural poise, and graceful mannerism are instantly recognisable” from childhood.

“Her beautiful smile, natural poise, and graceful mannerisms are instantly recognisable.”

Many on X agreed that Kate was “destined to be a Queen”, with others highlighting similarities between Pippa and Princess Charlotte, Prince William and Kate’s 10-year-old daughter.

The video opens with seven-year-old Pippa approaching Kate, the bride, and the adult bridesmaids before the service.

Kate beams widely, while Pippa appears somewhat hesitant, fiddling with her flower crown and moving slowly toward her sister.

Young James looks smart in his morning suit, grinning in pictures with the groomsmen.

However, the toddler soon grows restless, dashing among guests, pulling on his mother Carole’s blue outfit, and almost colliding with the cameraman’s equipment.

Another part shows Kate and Pippa examining their flower crowns, before the young Kate sniffles and wipes her nose casually, like any nine-year-old.

As the newlyweds exit the church, Kate enthusiastically tries out what would later become her signature royal wave, alternating poses with the couple for photos.

By then, Pippa seems overwhelmed, removing her flower crown in frustration.

At the reception, the groom thanks the young bridesmaids with gifts and affectionate kisses on their cheeks.

This resurfaces just before the Princess turns 44 on January 9 – approaching one year since she announced being in remission from an unspecified cancer.

In her first solo public appearance after finishing preventive chemotherapy, the mother of three paid a moving visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she had undergone treatment.

She expressed gratitude to staff for their “exceptional care, support, and compassion” throughout her year-long health challenge.
