Kendall Jenner has addressed long-running rumours surrounding her sexuality, confronting speculation she is a lesbian in a podcast interview.

Jenner, 30, told In Your Dreams host Owen Thiele she was aware of online commentary claiming she is a “lesbian”, but said the tone of commenters’ remarks was what troubled her most.

“There’s the whole side of the internet that thinks I’m a lesbian,” Jenner said.

“You want to know what really bothers me? How mean people are about it.”

Jenner clarified she does not identify as lesbian and said she would not hide it if that was the case.

“I understand that coming out is not an easy thing for anybody, if not most people,” she said.

“And I’m not saying that’s an easy thing, but knowing, and I can speak for myself here, and knowing myself, I think at this point in my life I’d be out if I was.”

She  also pushed back on claims she was hiding her sexuality for career reasons, saying she never understood why people framed it as “bad for business”.

“All’s to say, as of today, I am not,” Jenner said.

“I don’t think I will be, but I’m not closing doors to experiences in life.”

During the podcast, Jenner also said she was currently focused on herself rather than dating.

“I’m actually in a me era right now,” she said.

She reflected on turning 29 and reassessing her approach to relationships ahead of turning 30.

She explained that much of her 20s was spent moving from one serious relationship to another, which prompted her to take a step back.

Over the years, Jenner has been linked to several high profile figures including Harry Styles, Devin Booker, Bad Bunny and Nick Jonas, relationships that have kept her personal life firmly in the public eye.
