Perth Wildcats improved their brilliant road record to 10-4 following a strong 10-point win over South East Melbourne Phoenix on Saturday night.
A classy Kristian Doolittle led the way for the Wildcats with 24 points including eight in the final term to steer his side to its third-straight win.

The star forward nailed two free throws to put his side up by seven points with a minute to play and then drained another two to make it the same margin with 15 seconds to play.

The 107-97 win for the fifth-placed Wildcats improves their record to 14-10 on the season and pushes them closer to the fourth-placed Sydney Kings.
But it came at a cost with young gun point guard Jaron Rillie injuring his knee in the fourth quarter, adding to the Wildcats’ blows in that position with David Duke Jr already out for more than two months.
For the Nixs, they had their three game win streak ended with their eighth loss of the season. They still remain in second spot however with a 16-8 record following the defeat at the State Basketball Centre.

Owen Fozwell hurt his ankle in the opening term but returned in the fourth to nail a three. It is likely to only be a minor injury for the in form point guard.
Wildcats small forward Dylan Windler had one of his best outings of the season with his 27 points his most recorded in a game this campaign. He had an electric nine points in the third quarter and also recorded eight rebounds and two assists.
Star forward Kristian Doolittle recorded 12 rebounds and four assists for his sixth double of the season.
Wildcats guard Elijah Pepper was immense with 18 points including 15 in the first half.
Nixs forward Wes Iwundu was a rock for his side with a season-high 27 points including three triples. It was the second time Iwundu has registered more than 20 points in a game this season.
SOBEY ON AGAIN
The MVP contender had another strong outing following an equal career-high 37 points in an overtime win over Illawarra on Thursday.
Sobey was up to 15 points and five assist at halftime before finishing with 24 points, eight assists, four boards and two steals.

HIGH-SCORING HALF
The opening half saw some incredible offence with scores reading 58-50 the way of the Wildcats at half time.
The Wildcats shot at a stellar 58 per cent (22/38) from the field with Kristian Doolittle and Elijah Pepper leading the charge with 15 points each to the major break.
Pepper drained 3/3 from three and 6/7 from the field, while Dootlittle shot 8/9 from the free throw line.
Phoenix forward Wes Iwundu was leading the charge for his side with a game-high 19 points including two threes inside the first two and a half minutes.
Windler, who was on 10 points, said the game was being played at a “crazy pace” on ESPN at half time.
TURNOVERS HURT NIXS
As the Wildcats rose to a 42-32 advantage four minutes into the second quarter, the Nixs had nine turnovers to their name.
The costly errors from the Nixs was a major reason for their deficit early as well as an unstoppable Doolittle who had 12 points already at that stage.
The Nixs, who finished the night with 11 turnovers, were already up to eight turnovers by quarter time where they trailed 26-32.
