The Sixers were 0/32 when rain hit the SCG and it never really cleared all afternoon, before umpires called the match off at 4:30pm AEDT.

It means the Hurricanes and Sixers collect a point each, with that enough to lock in a top four spot for the current ladder-leaders.
The Sixers meanwhile, move to outright 3rd on the ladder with nine points.
In his BBL return, Steve Smith was unbeaten on 19 with Pakistani star Babar Azam on nine.
Smith was lucky to finish not out after being dropped two balls before rain halted play.
Smith tried to take on the bowling of Beau Webster but he skied it. Mitch Owen tried to track it but wasn’t able to get to the ball before it hits the turf.
“It was a hard chance but when it’s Steve Smith, you need to take them,” Brendon Julian said on Fox Cricket.
