VETERAN motorsport broadcaster Matt White is returning to the Seven Network, but there is no indication that it will involve a Supercars reunion.

While Seven is the home of free-to-air Supercars television, White’s appointment is described as a presenting role across 7News Sydney and 7Sport, in addition to fronting the network’s expanded NRL coverage.

Seven has exclusive rights to the Rugby League World Cup later this year and is launching a new show NRL Agenda Setters.

“It’s a huge privilege to be rejoining Seven at such an exciting time for rugby league,” said White.

“7News is home to the best newsmakers in the business and I’m genuinely pumped to be part of what’s next for the network’s NRL coverage.

“Jumping into Seven’s Rugby League World Cup 2026 coverage later this year is the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to get started and connect passionate footy fans with the sharpest insights and stories from across the game.”

Seven will have a reduced offering of five Supercars rounds this season: the Sydney 500, Townsville 500, Bathurst 1000, Gold Coast 500 and Adelaide Grand Final.

There are still question marks around the Supercars broadcast line-up on both Fox Sports and Seven, including Jack Perkins having recently hinted at an exit from the latter.
