Nebraska men’s basketball continues to break school records this season.
The latest: the 2025-26 squad moved up to No. 8 in the updated Associated Press poll on Monday, tying the highest ranking in program history.
The Huskers spent one week at No. 8 in February 1966, which is the only other time the program was ranked that high.
Other school records broken this season include the best record to start a season, with this year’s team sitting at 16-0. Dating back to last season, the Big Red own the longest winning streak in program history and the longest active streak nationally at 20 consecutive wins.
Most recently, the Huskers came back from 16 points down on Saturday to defeat the Indiana Hoosiers on the road, 83-77. Senior guard Jamarques Lawrence netted his career highs in points with 27, and for 3-pointers made with five.
With the win, Nebraska has now won five straight games in its series against traditional basketball power Indiana.
Up next, the Cornhuskers host Oregon at 8 p.m. CT on Tuesday. The Big Ten Network will televise the contest.
On Saturday, Nebraska will travel to the east again, facing off with Northwestern at 3 p.m. CT, also on the Big Ten Network.
