RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women’s tennis team opened the 2025-26 season with a 5-0 loss against East Tennessee State on Tuesday afternoon inside the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
 
EKU (0-1) picked up a victory on the top doubles court, Masha Fedenko and Ceylin Ipek defeated ETSU’s Alessandra Caceres and Mariangel Estrella, 6-2.
 
The Colonels suffered four singles losses, however, pushed three of those to three sets.
 
EKU returns to action on Saturday morning facing Marshall back inside the Greg Adams Tennis Center at 9 a.m. ET. The Colonels will also travel that day to face Kentucky in a true road contest beginning around 4 p.m.
