Police have charged a man with murder, following the death of a 50-year-old in an inner Brisbane suburb on the weekend.
Emergency services were called to the West End address in the early hours of Saturday morning and found the 50-year-old unresponsive with critical injuries.
On Sunday night, detectives charged a 32-year-old Fortitude Valley man with one count of murder.
Detective Inspector Wayne Francis said information provided by the community was crucial in this investigation.
“The information led to the arrest after an intensive investigation by detectives, intelligence officers, forensic police and first responders,” he said.
The Fortitude Valley man is in custody will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
