PROVO, Utah – BYU football picked up a commitment from another Oregon Ducks transfer in the 2026 cycle.

On Friday night, former Oregon tight end Roger Saleapaga announced his commitment to BYU.

Saleapaga wrote on Instagram, “GODS DOING, HOME🏡🤙/COMMITTED.”

The 6-foot-4, 245-pound prospect comes to BYU with two years of eligibility remaining, plus a redshirt year is available.

He appeared in 26 games during his two years in Oregon. However, his production at the tight end spot only included two catches for 25 yards.

Saleapaga joins former Oregon wide receiver Kyler Kasper as the second former Duck to join the BYU program in the portal cycle. He’s also the second tight end BYU has added from the Big Ten this offseason, joining former USC tight end Walker Lyons.

Saleapaga is the younger brother of former BYU offensive lineman Keanu Saleapaga. The older Saleapaga brother wrote on Instagram stories, “He’s home.”

Roger Saleapaga was a highly productive tight end during his prep career at Orem High School. At Orem, Saleapaga had 122 receptions for 1,826 yards and 22 touchdowns, per the Deseret News’ stats.

Along with playing football, Saleapaga was a dual-sport athlete at Orem, also playing basketball.

BYU football has nine commitments in the 2026 transfer portal class.
