Ok, we’ve all worked through those holiday games that we committed ourselves to, right? Right?! Ok, fine, I didn’t hit credits on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, but I did get through the opening 12 hours, so get off my back. This is clearly something I need to work through with a health professional, so let’s just move on. If you’re more dedicated than me, perhaps you’re after a new batch of games to crack into now that you’ve tackled your backlog. As per usual, the subscription services have your back (and your wallet, and your perception of worth), so let’s look at what PlayStation’s platform has in store for us.
As announced on the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue for Extra and Deluxe members will be updated on January 20, adding nine new titles to these tiers.
PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe
Resident Evil Village
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Expeditions: A MudRunner Game
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead
Darkest Dungeon II
The Exit 8
Art of Rally
A Little to the Left
PlayStation Plus Deluxe
While I’d like to shoutout Resident Evil Village from this lot, I don’t feel like I could add much to that conversation that you haven’t heard before. Instead, I’ll give Art of Rally some flowers. The low-fi aesthetic might be enough to get you in the driver’s seat (it was enough for me), but there’s more to this little racing title. With 91 stages, spanning across Norway, Germany, and even Australia, you can hit time trials and compete to climb global leaderboards as you try to master a devilishly slick control system. Go on, give it a go.
What do you think of this update to the catalogue? What games would you like to see added next? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
