Superannuation giant Aware Super will spend $US300 million ($460 million) to buy a minority stake in the Asia-Pacific arm of US firm Vantage Data Centers, as it looks to increase its exposure to the artificial intelligence infrastructure investment boom.

Vantage Data Centers APAC owns 10 data centres across Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and Hong Kong, renting space to so-called hyperscale cloud computing providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and Google, and emerging AI firms.
