It was a tricky week on the Fantasy front as a couple of the top captaincy picks either didn’t take the field, or struggled compared to previous weeks, meaning four-digit scores proved elusive.

While a chunk of the big scores belonged to lowly-owned players, a popular DPP stole the show with a massive performance on Saturday.

Round 22 Fantasy Winners

Jayden Campbell is back, and it’s proving to be a thing of beauty for his Fantasy owners.

The Titans WFB/HLF entered Round 22 as the second-most owned player in each of his positions and went on to accumulate 103 points, as he dragged the Titans to within a whisker of a spectacular win over the Panthers.

Jayden Campbell Try

His effort was 21 points more than the next best score, recorded jointly by Broncos CTR Kotoni Staggs and Wests Tigers DPP Adam Doueihi.

Lesser-owned players occupied the next three spots, with Isaiah Papali’i (76 points), Stefano Utoikamanu (73 points) and Moeaki Fotuaika (70 points) all being owned by less than three percent of teams.

Adam Doueihi’s fantastic Round 22 performance

None of them came close to being the point of difference player of the round though, with than honour belonging to HOK Sam Verrills, whose score of 69 was enjoyed by just 1513 owners.

The performance of the other big captaincy picks also meant that Nathan Cleary was by default a winner this week, with a nice 61-point showing, which included that clutch two-point field goal.

Cleary nails an incredible two-point field goal

Round 22 Fantasy Losers

A late demotion to the bench for Latu Fainu burned owners big time, with limited involvement in a 34-mint stint delivering just three points.

Although not many will have had him in their scoring 17, it was an especially notable poor score due to his Fainu’s presence in almost nine percent of teams.

It was an unhappy night for Luke Brooks in game 250, and for the second week in a row he had under 20 Fantasy points, with his 10 against the Roosters being a season low.

Bulldogs HLF Lachlan Galvin, who was a popular pickup in recent weeks, came back to the pack with a 21 following consecutive scores in the mid 50s.

All indications pointed to Herbie Farnworth heading towards a triple digit game early on against the Warriors, with the big gun CTR scoring 45 points through the opening 18 minutes before his hamstring went.
