Charles Leclerc has unveiled his helmet for the 2026 Formula 1 season.

The Ferrari driver has retained his usual nod to his home country with the red and white of the Monegasque flag forming the majority of the design with added pops of baby blue, which he explains is his favourite colour. 

“So here we are. So I’ve kept a similar base to last year, obviously red and white,” he said in the release video. “I want it to be simple, and that obviously is the Monegasque flag and my colours as well.

“And I added my favourite colour, which is baby blue, which I think looks really cool. It looks a little bit different to last year, but not so different. So I’m happy with that, I hope you like it.”

 

This comes ahead of Ferrari’s 2026 launch event, which will take place on Friday 23 January and will unveil the livery for the Maranello outfit’s 2026 challenger. 

Ferrari unveiled the 2026 race suits, which feature a primarily red design, as you would expect, with more white accents than it has had previously. The design, which also features the bold blue HP logo of the team’s title sponsor, has led fans to question whether the livery will follow a similar design choice.

The squad, led by team principal Fred Vasseur, finished fourth in the 2025 constructors’ standings with 398 points. Leclerc finished fifth in the drivers’ standings with 242 points and his team-mate Lewis Hamilton placed sixth with 156 points.

The new wave of regulations coming in 2026, which include a 50:50 split between internal combustion and electric power, lighter and smaller cars and active aerodynamics, among many other changes, will act as a reset – something every team will be wanting to make the most of.

The 2026 F1 season will begin with the Australian Grand Prix on 6-8 March.
