The TV personality’s beau went head-on chasing a thief down, along with some other men, outside a mall. His active involvement in a random theft case brought back good ol’ memories of his days as a bodyguard and a cop.
Steve Neild worked as a bodyguard for Kate Gosselin’s family from 2008 to 2014; hence, their relationship started out professional. Rumors of their relationship status raged, which they both denied at the time before Gosselin confirmed they were a couple last year.

Gosselin shared news of a crime that took place at the grocery store she was shopping at in New Zealand. She said she was nearly rammed to the floor during the incident as the thief pushed past her in the bid to escape.
The post showed the parking lot while she explained the whole incident behind the camera. She said the man ran through the mall trying to steal a trolley of groceries, then expressed how impressed she felt that the onlookers acted responsibly, chasing the guy and calling the police.
The TV personality noted that the crime rate in New Zealand is less than in America, saying that people in America would rather ignore such things than what she just witnessed.
While explaining how intense the chase was, she said, “The guy ran past us and lost his shoe; he literally pushed past me, almost knocked me down in my lack of walking state,” before disclosing that she kicked the thief’s shoe out of the way in an attempt to slow him down.
Gosselin stated in the video that her boyfriend joined the men trying to stop the thief from getting away. She captured a moment where Neild was walking back towards her and added the words “‘I love that Steve turns right back into a cop on a moment’s notice,” briefly onto the screen.

She referenced her injury in her recent TikTok where she said, “He ran past me, and I’m just now starting to walk. I had an injury, so I can now walk, and it sent me off my feet for a second.”
