NRL star Jake Averillo has addressed links that he will make the move to Super League.
The Dolphins star has scored 22 tries in 47 appearances in two seasons, but, heading into the 2026 NRL campaign, Selwyn Cobbo, Trai Fuller, Jack Bostock and Tevita Naufahu all look primed to take backline spots.
As such, with Averillo out of contract at the end of the season, there had been question marks over his future at the Dolphins.
And late last year, the 25-year-old had been linked with a move to St Helens.
But, in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Averillo dismissed the rumours, saying: “That was definitely news to me, moving to England,” Averillo said.
“My manager said we’ve started [extension talks], so we’ll just see how it goes.
“I’ve missed a lot of training, so I’m just trying to focus on getting back to training and letting my management take care of all that stuff.”
