Kyle Sandilands failed to show up on-air on The Kyle and Jackie O Show this morning after suffering a “fall”.
Speaking with a confused Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on the radio show as it went to air this morning, newsreader Brooklyn Ross said “something’s happened to Kyle” before revealing that the radio host, 54, failed to show up to work after having a “fall”.
“It’s been like stress and chaos,” Ross added.

Henderson, who had arrived to this morning’s recording confused, asking “What’s happened to Kyle?” appeared equal parts shocked and resigned as she learnt the news.
“He’s at that age where you don’t say they’ve fallen over, they’ve had a fall,” Henderson quipped.
One of the show’s on-air producers, who received a “very lengthy and detailed text”, confirmed that Sandilands had in fact suffered a fall.

“It’s really hard to say at this point. He’s just trying to recover because you’re right he did have a fall,” she said.
Intern Pete then interjected, suggesting that he should go be with Sandilands.
“I’m going to go over if that’s OK, this is a morning he probably needs me.”
But then, seemingly stressed, Henderson expressed, “we need you” before inviting him to join herself and Ross on the microphone.
In a statement to nine.com.au, an ARN spokesperson confirmed: ”Kyle suffered a fall at home this morning while getting ready for work and is currently at home resting.”
“As a precaution, he has not been on air this morning, however he may join the show later this morning if he is feeling up to it.”
It’s his second absence in recent weeks; he was also absent on day two of his 2026 return, which promoted KIIS Sydney to air a Best Of Breakfast show.
The radio shock jock has faced significant health issues over recent months.
Last February, the father of one revealed that he had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm then days later revealed another had been found on his chest.
Both of which required surgery.
When he first revealed he had a brain aneurysm and needed surgery, he said on his KIIS FM show: “I was told by my medical team, which sounds like I’m already very sick, to have a medical team, that I have a brain aneurysm and it requires immediate attention, brain surgery.”

A spokesperson for Sandilands told nine.com.au last August that the radio host was doing well and being looked after by health professionals following two days of unexplained absences from his radio show.
“A team of highly qualified medical professionals continue to monitor Kyle’s health, and they’re pleased with where he’s presently at,” they said.
