Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

Elena Palioura, So., Thessaloniki, Greece – SIUE

Palioura picked up two wins at No. 2 singles on the week. The transfer opened the season with a 6-1, 6-0 win against Illinois-Springfield. The sophomore closed out the weekend with a 6-1, 6-3 decision over her opponent from Valparaiso.

Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

Margaux Guibal Britt (Sr., Rossville, Tenn.) & Cydney Rogers (Sr., Jonesboro, Ark.) – SIUE

Guibal Britt & Rogers went 2-0 at No. 2 doubles to start the season. The duo earned a 6-0 win against Illinois-Springfield before outlasting the pair from Valparaiso, 6-2.
