The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco has teased her possible return to the show’s universe nearly 20 years since the award-winning series began.
Speaking with ET, the actress was asked if she would reprise her role as beloved character Penny in the show’s new spin-off series.
“Do you mean, the spin-off they’re doing right now?” she confirmed with a smile.
Cuoco starred in The Big Bang Theory for 12 years.
The new spin-off Stuart Fails to Save the Universe follows the multi-verse mishaps of comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman).

As for whether Penny would return, Cuoco flashed a very cheeky smile as her eyes went wide, seemingly confirming the exciting news.

“Big eyes!” Cuoco responded, “I don’t know what that tells you.”
“That’s not a no,” replied the host as Cuoco reacted: “It’s just big eyes!”
Stuart Fails to Save the Universe will be the third spin-off in The Big Theory universe, seven years after the original show ended.

Cuoco starred as Penny on The Big Bang Theory across all 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019.

Her next biggest role was in miniseries The Flight Attendant, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe. She also voices the title role in animated series Harley Quinn.

During the height of the show, Cuoco date her Big Bang Theory co-star and on-screen love interest Johnny Galecki from 2008 to 2010.
They kept their romance lowkey to protect the show. Cuoco and Galecki’s real-life relationship ended before their characters Penny and Leonard married, though they remained close friends.
Cuoco is now dating partner Tom Pelphrey since May 2022. The pair welcomed daughter Matilda in March 2023.

Parsons won four Emmys for his role as Sheldon Cooper on the show.
In 2018, Forbes estimated that Parsons’ annual salary was US$26.5 million (approx. $34 million) and named him the world’s highest-paid TV actor at the time.
After 21 seasons, Parsons continues to act. He also narrated all 141 episodes of Young Sheldon.

In 2018, Galecki was named the second-highest paid actor on TV, behind Jim Parsons. In the show’s last few seasons, he was reportedly paid more than one million dollars per episode.
These days, he’s taken a break from acting. He’s welcomed two children, son Avery in 2019 with an ex-girlfriend, and daughter Oona in 2024 with wife Morgan.

The British actor was loved as astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali and Howard Wolowitz’s best friend.

And last Howard Wolowitz, the engineer without a PhD. Helberg went on to do voice acting for Disney, Young Sheldon and American Dad!.
His latest role is FBI agent Luca Clark in hit Stan series Poker Face alongside Golden Globe nominee Natasha Lyonne.
