Hobart Hurricanes teammates engaged in a heated verbal encounter as emotions ran high in the BBL playoff loss to the Sixers.
Tempers were raised as teammates Beau Webster, Mitchell Owen and Matthew Wade got into a disagreement over fielding positions.
Following his final ball in the 14th over, cameras caught Webster expressing frustration over Owen’s position at cover, with the on field microphone picking up his comments.

It’s understood Webster was frustrated that Owen stayed inside the circle rather than fielding deep.
As a result, the Hurricanes conceded a boundary.
“Tempers flaring here … Not a good look,” Adam Gilchrist said in commentary.
“His point is a valid one in that everyone out there, you don’t need a captain’s armband on to be a captain.
“You can make decisions for yourself by thinking about the game and what the situation is.
“Mitch Owen probably should have been aware that with a couple of balls left in the over, I probably need to go back if that’s the team’s plan.
“Probably not the way to play it out in front of the opposition though.”
The Sixers will return to Perth for the final on Sunday night after outclassing the Hurricanes.
They set a total of 8-198 , with Hobart falling short by 57 runs after being bowled out for 141.
