Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, headlined by Megastar Chiranjeevi, has now rewritten history by emerging as a new industry hit among regional films from Tollywood. The film got off to a superb start, thanks to Chiru’s massive stardom and Anil Ravipudi’s strong brand value among audiences.
Despite stiff competition, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu created havoc during the Sankranthi season, emerging as the top choice for moviegoers. After the holiday period, the film maintained a good hold on weekdays and has once again picked up momentum by cashing in on the long weekend.
Even in his 70s, Chiranjeevi is rewriting box-office records, taking us back to the golden days when he dominated the industry with mind-boggling collections and achievements. While his last Sankranthi outing, Waltair Veerayya, also turned out to be a smash hit, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu has taken things to another level, with Chiru breaking all existing regional film records.
The biggie features Nayanthara as the female lead. Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela produced it under the banners of Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments, respectively. Victory Venkatesh appeared in a key cameo. The makers are set to hold a grand event tomorrow to celebrate the film’s monstrous success.
