Queensland’s Mater Group has bought Gold Coast Private Hospital from distressed owner Healthscope, which is selling its portfolio of hospitals after it fell into receivership last year.
Mater, Queensland’s largest Catholic not-for-profit hospital group and a major provider of maternity services in the state, did not say how much it paid for the 331-bed hospital, which was one of Healthscope’s biggest hospitals.
