Wayne Bennett has plenty of options with his key positions in the South Sydney spine and is certain to keep everyone guessing until round one in early March.
Will Jye Gray or Latrell play fullback? Will Dragons signing Jonah Glover get a start in the halves for Jamie Humphreys or veteran Cody Walker?
Will local junior Peter Mamouzelos to share the hooking duties with Brandon Smith off the bench? Or former Storm hooker Bronson Garlick?

They are just three scenarios the master coach will be juggling in his mind leading into the trials and the first round of the season.
After a poor campaign in 2025, the Bunnies have had a much-needed cleanout, getting rid of some dead wood and bringing in fresh faces.

Glover had a great record in the NSW Cup with the Dragons but is untried at the top level and will be one to watch in the trials.
And then we have the enigmatic David Fifita – on his day one of the game’s most dynamic forwards – but simply hasn’t had enough of those days down the years and Bennett will need all his man-management skills to keep the big man focussed.
Knights discard Adam Elliott could also prove a handy signing with his experience and work-rate in the middle of the field.
Skipper Cam Murray’s return after he played just one game in 2025 is a massive boost to the club while star outside back Campbell Graham has also played precious little footy over the past couple of seasons and will add strike power out wide.
