The 76ers’ Joel Embiid dropped a season-high 73 fantasy points in a win over the Rockets in Week 14.

Just under three weeks remain until the All-Star Break. As January nears its end, we steadily inch closer to February and the unofficial halfway point of the season.

But until fantasy general managers in NBA Fantasy — Salary Cap Edition are given a moment to step back and analyze their successes and failures, there’s still time to reel in fantasy points.

Here’s what you need to know entering Week 15:

Last week’s story

This season just seems to get better and better for Jaylen Brown. He’s led the Celtics to second place in the Eastern Conference without Jayson Tatum, boasts a career-high 29.8 points per game and last Monday, was named an All-Star starter for the first time in his 10-year career.

Brown kept the good times rolling last week by averaging 57.5 fantasy points per game (FPPG) across four contests. He’s scored 50 or more in 13 of his last 18 games, and as a result, his per game average has improved to 50.5 for 2025-26.

The 2024 Finals MVP is a high-volume scorer, but he’s also been active on the boards as of late, pulling down 10 or more rebounds in three of his last four games. He’s been the all-important factor in a 28-17 record for the Boston Celtics as the All-Star Break approaches.

Peak performances

It was yet another big week for Luka Dončić, who continues to pile up fantasy points. He dropped 77 on Tuesday as the Los Angeles Lakers (27-17) earned a 115-107 victory over the Denver Nuggets (31-15). The recently-minted six-time All-Star posted 38 points scored, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals en route to his fifth triple-double of the season. He averaged a staggering 71.3 FPPG last week and owns a mark of 64 this month.

Not so far behind was Tyrese Maxey with his second-best performance all season. The sixth-year guard guided the Philadelphia 76ers (24-20) to a 113-104 defeat of the Indiana Pacers (11-35) with 76 fantasy points Monday. Sticky fingers set him apart — he tallied eight steals to complement 29 points scored, four rebounds, eight assists and one block. Maxey’s reliability and high-level production have pushed him to a second-best 2389 total fantasy points (TFP).

That wasn’t the end of last week’s Philadelphia party. Joel Embiid joined in on the fun with a season-high 73 fantasy points Thursday in a 128-122 overtime triumph for the 76ers over the Houston Rockets (27-16). He racked up 32 points scored, 15 rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one steal when all was said and done. Injuries plagued the seven-time All-Star earlier in 2025-26, but in his last four games played, he averaged 57.2 FPPG.

Transaction tips

Brandin Podziemski is heating up for the Golden State Warriors (26-21). The third-year guard is responsible for 36.8 FPPG across his last six appearances, marking a massive improvement on the 19.2 he put up in the preceding five. He has stepped up with Jimmy Butler III injured, and that larger role offensively is unlikely to change considering the long-term recovery Butler will undergo for his torn ACL. Podziemski can be acquired for $9.4M.

Things are also trending upward for Naji Marshall. In his last seven games, the sixth-year forward has averaged 43.4 FPPG for the Dallas Mavericks (19-27) as they try to fight back into contention in the West. His recently successful stretch featured 55 fantasy points — one shy of his season-high — against the Warriors on Thursday. It’s also worth noting Marshall is an even cheaper option than Podziemski at a salary of $8.4M, and has similarly promising potential.
