The Tipperary Town Boxing club enjoyed a hugely successful County Tipperary Boxing  Championships.

The club won 16 titles from 17 competitions.  The boxers gathered at last night’s training session for a group photograph with the Bon Duggan Memorial Cup which has been awarded to the best club in the Waterford/Tipperary region every year since the 1950 ‘s.

Tipperary town won the Cup this year given their success at the county championships.

The club is now beginning preparations for the Munster championships starting in 2 weeks.  Travelling costs and sometimes overnight stays are a huge financial burden on the club which is led by Coach Chris Toomey and based in Blind Street, Tipperary town.
